Mohammed Salisu joins AS Monaco!

AS Monaco have announced the arrival of central defender Mohammed Salisu from Southampton Football Club. The 24-year-old Ghana international has signed a five-season deal and is now tied to the Principality club until June 2028.

Trained in Spain at Real Valladolid, where he made his professional debut in the Copa del Rey at just 19 years of age (2018-19 season), Mohammed Salisu became the next season, one of the main players in the team and enjoyed a full season in the Spanish first division (34 games, 1 goal and 1 assist).

Despite his young age, his consistency and level of performance in LaLiga opened the doors to the Premier League, and more specifically to Southampton FC, where he moved in the summer of 2020. Renowned in England for his athleticism and aerial ability, the 1.91m centre-back became an important part of the Saints squad over the years, playing a total of 80 games for the club, including 68 in the Premier League.
