Mohammedan Sporting set to host East Bengal in U-18 I-League!

mohammedan-sporting-u-18sMohammedan Sporting Club U-18s will be hosting East Bengal Club U-18s in the Under-18 I-League tomorrow at the Mohammedan Sporting ground in Kolkata. Both teams are on four points after playing three games.

Mohammedan Sporting U-18s have witnessed all possible results in their first three games, the Susanta Guha-coached side started off with a 0-1 defeat against United SC before beating Southern Samity 3-0 in the next game however the last match that they played out a 1-1 draw against Sports Authority of India (East Zone).

“In the last game we were clearly the better side, but luck was not on our side as boys could not capitalise on chances that came their way. I hope they won’t repeat the same mistakes tomorrow, against a strong team like East Bengal,” Guha said on the eve of the clash.

East Bengal U-18s, on the other hand, also are enduring mixed fortunes in the competition so far. They began their campaign with a narrow 0-1 defeat against SAI but the team bounced back to the winning ways against United SC before playing out a 1-1 draw against Mohun Bagan in their last match.

Thus the game have became a must win for either teams with both likely to go all out for a win to keep their U-18 I-League final round hopes alive.

The Round 4 Kolkata Zone fixture kicks off at 2pm on Wednesday.
