Mohun Bagan release Liberia’s Kromah, sign Akram Moghrabi of Lebanon!

Struggling Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC have released Liberian attacking player Ansumana Kromah and have replaced him with Lebanese striker Akram Moghrabi for the remainder of the 2017/18 I-League season.

Former champions Mohun Bagan have in recent weeks been going through a bad patch which has resulted in head coach Sanjoy Sen resigning and his assistant Shankarlal Chakraborty taking over but there have also been issues with certain players which the club management thought was not up to the mark to perform in the ongoing I-League.

After releasing Ansumana Kromah on Thursday, Mohun Bagan on Friday announced that 32 year old Lebanese striker Akram Moghrabi, who last played for Al Nemjah in Lebanon and won the I-League in the 2012/13 season with Churchill Brothers, would be his replacement to play alongside another struggling foreigner in Aser Dipanka Dicka of Cameroon.

“With immense pleasure we wish to state that Mohun Bagan have roped in Lebanese striker Akram Moghrabi for 2017-18 season. The striker is in Lebanon and will apply for his visa today,” the club said in a statement.
