After the signature of Haroon Amiri, Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan have roped in 28 year old Nigerian allrounder Daniel Bidemi (Ayeni Bidemi Daniel) as the third foreigner of the Mariners for the Calcutta Football League.
Daniel Bidemi is a well known Nigerian footballer in Kolkata football circles. For the first time he joins Mohun Bagan, but he has played for numerous Calcutta Football League clubs in the past such as Chirag United SC, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Calcutta Port Trust, Bhowanipore FC, Tollygunge Agragami and Police AC since his first arrival in India in 2008.
Besides playing in Kolkata, Daniel Bidemi has experience of playing in the I-League for Shillong Lajong FC and Sporting Clube de Goa besides also playing in the Second Division League where he represented clubs like United Sikkim FC and Langsning FC respectively.
Daniel Bidemi will be arriving in Kolkata later today, August 18, will start training in the coming days and once his level of fitness is assessed, he should be ready to complete in the Calcutta Football League’s Premier Division – A.
