Two time champions Chanmari FC were able to equalise after going two goals down in the first half as they battled to a 2-2 against Ramhlun North FC.
Chanmari FC started the game with little to no room for dropping points to keep their semi-final hopes alive, while their opponents still find themselves in a relegation battle in seventh place.
And it was Ramhlun North FC who began more brightly with Lalliansanga forcing a save from Chanmari FC’s M.S. Dawngliana and Vanlallawma striking thar bar from Lalmawizuala’s cross.
The deadlock was broken on the 24th minute by Ramhlun North FC. A corner delivered by Laldingngheta met the head of Lalnunmawia who gave his side a deserved lead.
Chanmari FC almost pulled one back soon after when Vanlalbiaa Chhangte found himself in a one-on-one with Ramhlun North FC custodian Eddie Zorawmmawia but the forward failed to finish his opportunity. Laldampuia’s effort also nudged the bar as they looked for an early comeback.
But Ramhlun North FC struck again minutes before half-time when Jessy Vanlalmuana finished a corner delivery from Laldingngheta.
The second half was a different affair as Chanmari FC shook things up with the introduction of Lalnunzama who had an immediate impact in the game.
The substitute found space on the right hand side in the 57th minute and his ball in was finished by Laldampuia to cut their deficit.
M.C. Malsawmzuala almost found the net for Chanmari FC moments before Lalnunzama himself equalised as he finished Vanlalbiaa’s cross on the 71st minute. Zama had a chance to win the game for his side late on but the brilliance of Eddie Zorammawia earned a point for his side in round 12.
