Mumbai City FC score late equaliser to hold Kerala Blasters to 1-1 draw!

Hosts Kerala Blasters conceded a late equaliser to Mumbai City FC for their ISL-5 match to end in a 1-1 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday evening.

The hosts put pressure on their guests from the start but they had to wait until the 24th minute to go ahead. A Kerala Blasters throw-in via Slavisla Stojanovic and Len Doungel the ball came to Halicharan Narzary who blasted the ball into the nets.

The Blasters were in-charge but didn’t have any more chances to score as Mumbai City FC survived a nervous first half only one goal down.

The match lacked chances in the second session with both Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City FC having one real chance to score before the equaliser came in the 90th minute. Sanju Pradhan played the ball to young Pranjal Bhumij, whose long-range effort beat Dheeraj Singh in goal for the match to end 1-1.

Mumbai City FC next will host FC Pune City on October 19 in a Maha derby, while the very next day Kerala Blasters host Delhi Dynamos in Kochi.
