The Nike 10R City Collection Celebrates Ronaldinho’s Brilliant Career!

Over his 20-year career, Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho played for some of the world’s biggest clubs, securing silver for each, and delivered glory to his home nation. His dazzling play — characterised by technical wizardry and otherworldly creativity — is remembered through thrilling runs and mind-bending free kicks. And his famous celebratory shaka underscores his spirit and passion for football.

With this in mind, the inaugural drop of the Nike 10R City Collection highlights Ronaldinho’s exploits at his first footballing homes: Porto Alegre and Paris.

The silhouette, the LegendX, follows Ronaldinho’s origins in small-sided play. “I used to play in the streets all the time, 24/7 with the ball on my feet. That helped me develop a bond with the ball,” says Ronaldinho of his childhood. “We didn’t have video games, Internet and all those types of distractions, so I was always playing. I really miss those times.”

With skills learned on those streets, Ronaldinho gained a place in his boyhood club. “Porto Alegre is where I come from and where all my childhood friends remain. It’s where I became a professional player at a club I still support. My first titles and my first-ever appearance for Brazil all happened in Porto Alegre too,” he shares.

From Porto Alegre, Ronaldinho joined PSG. “Paris was the first city I lived outside of Brasil,” he says. And, while he succeeded at the club, Ronaldinho’s time in the city of lights is memorable for his brace on June 21, 2002, and Brasil’s ultimate international triumph on June 30 in Yokohama.

Both shoes share a red, orange and yellow samba stitching. These represent family, music and joy, respectively. Further ode to Ronaldinho’s personality comes with the printing of, “I play with music in my head,” under the tongue of each shoe and translated to the language associated with the individual city. A tonal 10R emboss on the toe boxes and printed shaka hands on the sockliners complete the designs.
