Nike & Liverpool FC unveils new home kit for 2024-25 season!

Liverpool FC presents the brand-new 2024-25 home kit, a fresh remix of the legendary pattern and print from 1984.

The retro kit design, remixed for the modern game, features a chrome yellow pattern of the club’s YNWA motto etched into the fabric of the shirt.

Its jersey has a unique collar with traditional yellow and red detailing, a nod to the iconic collar worn by the ’84 team led by Joe Fagan, who lifted the European Cup in Rome that year wearing this original kit, to complete a treble. Both the shirt and shorts have yellow and white side panelling.

Made with Dri-Fit ADV, which breathes with you, this advanced technology with moisture-wicking material ensures faster evaporation to stay dry and comfortable from kick-off to the final whistle.

The host city of the 1984 final is also the inspiration for the creative campaign video and photography. Fusing fashion and football, the look pairs the new jersey with premium Italian-inspired fashion pieces and elevated styling.

Set to The Humming Chorus from Giacomo Puccini’s opera Madame Butterfly soundtrack, the setting conveys Italian classicism with tonal stucco-style backdrops, marble textured flooring, pillars and ornate furniture. The new LFC pattern is embellished within some customised, Italian-themed props.

The short film, which features a host of players from the Reds’ men’s and women’s teams, can be viewed below.

Men’s captain Virgil van Dijk said: “I’m a big fan of our new kit for next season and love the fact we’re bringing the retro vibe back. We are a club built on history and the 1984 team was one of our most successful ever. I’m sure our fans will appreciate the nod to those club legends.”

LFC Women vice-captain Taylor Hinds said: “It’s such a different look for the new season, and we can’t wait to wear it. The retro inspiration always makes you feel a part of the club’s history is with you as you play.”

In line with LFC’s The Red Way sustainability programme, the Nike kit is sustainably made, with on-the-pitch and replica jerseys constructed with 100 per cent recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles.

Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce a high-quality yarn for manufacturing, part of Nike’s wider Move to Zero initiative, with football apparel leading the way in sustainability.

The club’s name and number style for the back of the shirt takes inspiration from the city, with a contemporary take on Liverpool’s historic street signs. The product is printed with water-based inks as a more sustainable option and will be worn for cup competitions and friendlies.
