At 2,864 meters, Mount Triglav is the highest peak of the Julian Alps. It’s also the symbol of the Slovene nation that forms the graphic underpinning of the Football Association of Slovenia’s new football kits made by Nike. It is represented by a tonal blue on the white home shirt and replaced on the dark blue away strip.
Rarely conceding goals (only seven in the last round of qualification thanks to star goalkeeper Jan Oblak), the Slovenians are routinely tough opponents but have not reached a world final since 2010. With the new collection and new coach, Tomaž Kavcic, the nation hopes to reverse fortunes in the next round of qualification.
