Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the contract extension of defender Provat Lakra for the 2021/22 season.

24 year old Kalimpong-born Provat Lakra moved in his youth to Kolkata and had his breakthrough with United SC sister club Pathachakra.

He moved on loan to Gokulam Kerala FC for the 2017/18 I-League, where he impressed and earned a move to NorthEast United FC in 2018.

The left-back once more extends his stay with the Highlanders for the 2021/22 season.
