Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the contract extension of French winger Romain Philippoteaux for the 2023/24 season.
35 year old Romain Philippoteaux, who was born in the French commune of Apt, played in his youth for US Le Pontet and then moved to Espérance Pernoise.
He returned to US Le Pontet at senior level before going on to play for Dijon FCO, FC Lorient, AJ Auxerre, Nîmes Olympique, Stade Brest and returning in the 2021/22 season to Dijon FCO on loan.
Romain Philippoteaux left last season French shores for the first time to move to India to join the Highlanders ahead of ISL-9. He scored two goals and made two assists in 18 match appearances.
NorthEast United FC will hope that Romain Philippoteaux can show more of his class in the new season.
