NorthEast United FC retain quartett TP Rehenesh, Reagan Singh, Rowllin Borges & Lalrempuia Fanai!

Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced that they have retained a quartett in goalkeeper T.P. Rehenesh, defender Reagan Singh, defensive midfielder Rowllin Borges and attacking midfielder Lalrempuia Fanai.

Since the end of ISL – Season 4 there has been no news about the Season 5 campaign of NorthEast United FC, now they announce the signing of four players from last season, more are set to follow.

25 year old Kerala-born T.P. Rehenesh will play his fifth ISL season with NorthEast United FC. He had started his career with SAI – Kerala and then went on to play for Golden Threads FC, Viva Kerala, ONGC, Mumbai Tigers, Rangdajied United (loan), Shillong Lajong FC before going on loan to NorthEast United FC in 2014. A year later he became a NorthEast United FC player and then played on loan in 2016 and 2017 for East Bengal Club.

27 year old Manipur-born Reagan Singh started his career locally in Manipur before joining Rangdajied United FC in 2012. He spend three seasons with them before moving to NorthEast United FC for ISL-2 and since then he has played for the Highlanders with stints in 2016 with Salgaocar FC and then 2017 with Mumbai FC on loan.

26 year old in Nuvem in Goa-born Rowllin Borges played for Sporting Clube de Goa in his youth and also made his senior debut for them in 2011. He spend five seasons with the Flaming Oranje senior team before joining NorthEast United FC in 2016, where he will remain for a third season running. In-between the India international spend in 2017 a few months on loan with East Bengal Club.

22 year old Lunglei in Mizoram-born Lalrempuia Fanai played locally art Bazarveng FC and Maonit High School before joining the Peninsula Pune FC Academy. The midfielder would make his professional debut at Pune FC in 2013 and after two years signed for FC Pune City in 2015. He moved to NorthEast United for ISL-3 and will go into his third season with the Highlanders while also having spend time on loan with Minerva Punjab FC in 2017.

By announcing to retain the quartett, NorthEast United FC have started to name their squad for the 2018/19 season.
