Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Federico Gallego for the 2018/19 season.
The 28 year old Montevideo-born Federico Gallego Revetria started his youth career with Institución Atlética Sud América, where he also made his senior debut in 2010.
He stayed with the club for six senior level season with a loan spell at Argentino Juniors in neighbouring Argentina before signing for Comunicaciones FC in Guatemala.
Only a year later Gallego returned to Uruguay to sign for local side Liverpool Futbol Club, but earlier this year he signed for Boston River.
Now Gallego moves outside of the Americas for the first-time to sign in India for NorthEast United FC.
