NorthEast United FC sign midfielder Rupert Nongrum for ISL-5!

Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of midfielder Rupert Nongrum for the 2018/19 season.

21 year old Malki-born Rupert Nongrum joined the Shillong Lajong FC Academy in 2010 and spend five years at the Academy.

The local Meghalaya boy Rupert Nongrum made his professional debut in February 2015 in the I-League and spend the next two seasons at the club with a loan spell at Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League – Season 3.

In the 2017 ISL draft, Rupert Nongrum was picked by then champions ATK but he like the club didn’t have the best of seasons despite makign 13 appearances.

Now Rupert Nongrum returns to the Northeast to sign for NorthEast United FC and he would hope for a better ISL-5 campaign.
