Odisha beat Jharkhand to reach Sub-Junior Boys final!

The Sub-Junior boys of Odisha defeated Jharkhand 6-2 in a thrilling first semifinal of the National Sub-Junior Championship beng played in Arunachal Pradesh.

Jharkhand went ahead early in the 2nd minute, but Odisha equalised in the 38th minute through Ajaya Toppo with the game going 1-1 into the half-time break.

Jharkhand again went ahead in the 72nd minute, but Odisha equalised again only three minutes later with the match ending 2-2 and having to go into extra-time.

In extra-time it was Odisha all the way as they went ahead for the first-time in the 95th minute through a brilliant Hari Hembram goal.

Odisha sealed the victory with a double strike by Arbin Lakra in the 109th and 111th minutes before Ajaya Toppo scored a sixth in the 114th minute.

In the end Odisha won 6-2 against Jharkhand to reach the final.
