Pranjal Bhumij has joined Odisha FC on a contract running till the end of the current 2023/24 season, with the option of a further year.
A DSK Shivajians FC product, Pranjal Bhumij made his first professional debut in the I-League against Churchill Brothers. He scored his first goal against Shillong Lajong FC which DSK went on to win in stoppage time 3-2.
The versatile and extremely talented winger signed for Mumbai City FC as a developmental player in 2017 and went on to commit his future at the club till 2024.
When asked about Pranjal’s arrival, Odisha FC head coach Sergio Lobera said,”I know him very well from my period at Mumbai City FC and I am sure that he has a profile that adapts very well to our idea of the game. I am sure that he will help us achieve our goals.”
Pranjal Bhumij shares a special relationship with Assistant Coach Floyd Pinto, who gave Pranjal Bhumij his first India international call-up in 2017 for the SAFF U-19 Championship.
The Assamese winger debuted for the Junior Blue Tigers against Nepal in Bhutan.
