Odisha FC ready for East Bengal FC challenge in Super Cup!

Odisha FC’s Super Cup campaign starts against East Bengal FC on Sunday, April 9 in Manjeri with an 8.30pm kick-off.

The two teams have faced each other twice before in the ISL this season, with Odisha FC having the upper hand in both encounters.

In their last fixture in the ISL, Odisha FC managed to outclass East Bengal FC 3-1 at home, with Diego Mauricio’s brace and a goal from Nandhakumar proving too much for the Red & Gold Brigade to handle. However, East Bengal FC would be looking to turn the tables around this time and avenge their previous defeat.

The Kolkata-based side has had a disappointing campaign in the ISL, winning only six and losing thirteen of their matches. They would be hoping for a fresh start when they take on Odisha FC tomorrow night.

On the other hand, Odisha FC had a convincing ISL season this year, qualifying for their first playoffs. The Eastern Dragons would be looking to build on that performance and secure a crucial victory in this match to keep their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage alive.

The key players to watch out for in this match would be ISL Golden Boot winner Diego Mauricio for Odisha FC, who has been in sensational form this season and already has two goals against East Bengal FC, and Cleiton Silva for East Bengal FC.

Overall, this promises to be an entertaining encounter between two teams who would be looking to make their mark in the tournament. It remains to be seen who comes out on top in this battle between Odisha FC and East Bengal FC.

The Super Cup will be broadcasted live on Sony Ten 2 & Sony Ten 2 HD. The games will be live-streamed on FanCode.
