The AIFF has introduced the U-17 Elite Youth League 2022-23 in two categories i.e Group B & Group C, intending to find talent for the India U-17 national team.
The league will be played across two phases. the first phase is the group stage which has already started on December 22, 2022 and continues till January 5, 2023. The second phase is the final round will take place from January 20 to 31, 2023.
After completion of the Group Stage matches, the top teams will qualify for the Final Round of the U-17 Youth League 2022-23. In the Group Stage matches, three (3) points shall be awarded for a win, one point for a draw no point for a defeat.
There will be 111 matches across 11 locations. During the tournament, 49 teams are playing which includes Odisha FC (Group-C) and Odisha FAO Academy (Group-B) from Odisha.
Odisha FC (U-17) Group-C will be participating in the AIFF Elite Youth (U-17) league 2022-23 for the very first time with Alpha Sports Academy (Bihar), Hyderabad FC (Telangana), Techtro Swades United FC (Himachal Pradesh) and Young Heros (UP).
