Odisha FC faced Eastern Sporting Union in an early morning kick-off on Wednesday, May 3 at the Transstadia Stadium in Ahmedabad. After a defeat in their last outing, Odisha FC came out all guns blazing to beat Eastern Sporting Union by 4-0.
Anju opened the scoring in the 17th minute, courtesy of a delightful assist from Bala. Anju then returned the favor in the 25th minute with a teasing cross that Bala headed into the net to double Odisha FC’s lead. Odisha FC went to halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Odisha FC had a perfect start to the second half with Grace making an immediate impact by delivering a precise cross to Jasoda who scored to make it 3-0 for Odisha FC.
Eastern Sporting Union tried to play some long balls to put pressure on Odisha FC but the defence was unmoved. Lynda closed the perfect morning by scoring OFC’s fourth goal with virtually the last kick of the game. The game ended with Odisha FC emerging victorious with a score of 4-0.
Odisha FC will next face Churchill Brothers at the Shahibaug Police Stadium on May 5 at 8am.
