Odisha’s FAO to set-up 16 Grassroots Centres!

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has announced that they would set-up Grassroots Centres at 16 different locations across eight districts in the state.

The districts would be Cuttack having three of them as would Bhubaneswar, Sundargarh would get two, while Sambalpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Bargarh, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Ganjam, Phulbani and Rourkela.

The FAO Grassroots Centres are going to start operating from May 1, 2023.

The FAO Grassroots Centres will comprise of 30 players each of the 8 to 12 years age group.

This is preliminary commencement of the Grassroots Centres and the Football Association of Odisha will be starting the centres in other districts in the near future. The aim of this is to nurture players from a very early age and conduct various grassroots level competitions.
