Omar Marmoush joins Eintracht Frankfurt!

Eintracht Frankfurt are continuing to shape their squad for the coming season with the signing of Omar Marmoush on a contract valid until June 30, 2027.

The Egypt international, who has four goals in 17 senior appearances for his country, was at VfL Wolfsburg for six years, making 46 competitive outings for the club to date. In the current season Marmoush, who can play in a variety of positions in attack, has been one of VfL’s key players, scoring six times in 34 games in all competitions so far. The 24-year-old made his Bundesliga debut in May 2020.

During his time at Wolfsburg, Marmoush was sent out on two loan spells. He was at second-division side FC St. Pauli in the second half on the 2020/21 campaign, where he provided seven goals and three assists in 21 appearances. The right-footer was then loaned to VfB Stuttgart in the 2021/22 season, contributing three goals and five assists in 21 Bundesliga games for the club. Additionally, Marmoush was in the starting line-up when Egypt played the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in February 2022, which they only lost to Senegal on penalties.

Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche said, “In Omar Marmoush we have a signed player whose abilities will give our attack even greater flexibility. Omar has already proven his qualities in the Bundesliga, but at the same time he still has great potential to develop further. We’re pleased that we were able to bring such an exciting and talented player to Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer.”
