PSG Academy Technical Directors’ Seminar held!

From May 7 to 10, 2024, the third PSG Academy Technical Directors’ Seminar was held at the brand new PSG Campus.

The aim was to instil the club’s philosophy and the Paris Saint-Germain training methodology in the technical directors of each of the Academies around the world.

As Technical Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy, Benjamin Houri had prepared a very varied programme: observing the training sessions of the various teams at the pre-academy and academy, masterclasses and technical presentations, focusing on the professional teams… All while taking advantage of the facilities at the new Campus.

“It’s a real pleasure to welcome the technical directors here to the new PSG Campus, which opened in January. It’s important that they immerse themselves in our values and our training methodology. Paris Saint-Germain has unique expertise, which the directors have to apply on a daily basis in their academies. Once again this year, the club has opened the doors to every section, from pre-academy to the professional team,” Benjamin Houri told us.

This year’s special feature is a focus on women’s football, with an entire day devoted to understanding its specific characteristics. This focus reflects Paris Saint-Germain’s commitment to women’s football and the training of future professional players. Every year, more and more young players join the Paris Saint-Germain Academy programme, which encourages the creation of new women’s teams within the academies.

“Over and above the infrastructure, the new PSG Campus is extraordinary because it brings together all the club’s sporting sections. We had the chance to observe various sessions, in particular those of the U19 Women’s team and the women’s first team. During the day, we were able to talk to the various coaches of these teams and learn new principles that will be passed on to the women’s teams in our academies. The diversity of the teams on the PSG Campus demonstrates Paris Saint-Germain’s values of inclusion and diversity,” said Didier Domi, former PSG professional player and Technical Advisor at the PSG Academy Qatar.

This year’s event welcomed 30 technical directors and coaches from 15 different countries, providing an opportunity for genuine cultural exchange. It was a week rich in learning, discoveries and sharing!
