PSV Eindhoven and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement on the upcoming transfer of Cody Gakpo. The 23-year-old attacker will immediately leave for England where he will undergo the necessary formalities for completing the transfer.
Both clubs do not make any announcements about the transfer fee, but PSV general manager Marcel Brands informed, “This is a record transfer for PSV!”
The management of PSV completed the transfer on Boxing Day, December 26 and has given Gakpo permission to travel to England.
Dutch international Cody Gakpo, who scored three goals in the recently concluded 2022 FIFA World Cup, as per rumours was poised to join Liverpool FC archrivals Manchester United, but now he moves to join the Reds.
