Punjab FC sign Colombian striker Wilmar Jordan Gil!

Promoted Indian Super League side Punjab FC have announced the signing of Colombian striker Wilmar Jordan Gil for the 2023/24 season.

32 year old Wilmar Jordan Gil, who was born in Medellin, played locally in his youth.

Wilmar Jordan Gil as a senior played for Venezuela’s Monagas SC, then for Gyeongnam FC and Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in South Korea, Litex Lovech in Bulgaria, China’s Tianjin Teda and a loan spell with UAE’s Emirates Club.

Thereafter Wilmar Jordan Gil returned to Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia before moving to Portugal with GD Chaves and on loan with FC Famalicão.

Wilmar Jordan Gil then moved back to Colombia to play for Leones FC, Atlético Huila, and Envigado. He then played for Brazilian side Portuguesa and moved to Venezuela again with Portuguesa before joining NorthEast United FC in the ISL.

And last term, Wilmar Jordan Gil came to the ISL mid-season to play for the Highlanders and impressed with eight goals in 11 matches.

Now Wilmar Jordan Gil joins promoted ISL side Punjab FC and they will hope he can showcase his goalscoring abilities.
