Promoted Indian Super League side Punjab FC have announced the signing of midfielder Ricky Shabong until summer 2025.
20 year old Ricky John Shabong, who was born in Meghalaya’s Shillong, in his youth played locally amongst others for Royal Wahingdoh FC.
Ricky John Shabong then made it into the India U-16s and was signed by the AIFF for the Indian Arrows. He then was signed by ATK Mohun Bagan and spend time on loan with Rajasthan United FC.
Now Ricky John Shabong joins Punjab FC and will hope to prove himself in the upcoming ISL.
Ricky John Shabong said, “I am grateful for the chance to be a part of the Punjab FC family. I hope together with the team, i will be able to help the club become more successful.”
