Qatar captain Hassan Al-Haydos retires from international football!

The Qatar national team captain Hassan Al-Haydos has announced his retirement from international football after an outstanding career spanning many years.

Throughout his remarkable 16-year journey with the Qatari national teams, Al-Haydos has been a beacon of inspiration, embodying unwavering dedication and exemplary morals as a leader for Al-Annabi.

His contributions have been pivotal in securing numerous victories and championships, marking his legacy as one of Qatar’s most decorated footballers. Since joining the national team in 2008, Al-Haydos has consistently showcased his talent and commitment to excellence. His remarkable achievements include winning the Qatar Football Association’s Best Promising Player Award in 2008 and being honoured as Player of the Year in 2015.

In his 183 appearances for his country, Al-Haydos has netted an impressive 41 goals, leaving an indelible mark on the sport. Notably, he has represented Qatar in four AFC Asian Cup Finals, including victories in 2019 and 2023 and triumphs in the 2014 Gulf Cup.
