Fábio Carvalho is set to return to Liverpool FC with immediate effect, after RB Leipzig and LFC agreed to terminate the one-year loan deal early.
The 21-year-old arrived in Leipzig over the summer and made 15 competitive appearances for the Bulls. He featured in all four competitions for RBL, including the Supercup win over FC Bayern München in August 2023.
RB Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schröder said, “We were able to sign a young player with plenty of potential over the summer in Fábio Carvalho. Fábio was able to quickly integrate himself here, but both parties had expected more from his time here – especially Fábio in terms of his playing time.”
“Due to the quality and competition within our squad at his position, we are unable to guarantee this for him. We held several discussions over the last days and in the end, decided to end his loan early.”
