RB Leipzig extend Timo Werner loan to Tottenham Hotspur!

Timo Werner will spend another season in the Premier League, remaining at Tottenham Hotspur for the 2024/25 campaign.

The 28-year-old has been on loan at Spurs since January 2024, scoring two goals and assisting another three in 14 competitive appearances (10 starts). However, the forward suffered an injury in April at home to Arsenal FC and was sidelined for the rest of the season.

Tottenham also have an option to sign Timo Werner permanently in summer 2025.

RB Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schröder said, “We’re very happy to have found a solution for both parties so early on in the off-season. Timo’s loan move in January paid off in every aspect, so we wanted to open the door for it to continue. Up until his injury, he was getting regular game time, starting almost every game for Tottenham, showing his quality, and playing an important role. We wish Timo all the best in London for the new season and hope that he can enjoy continued success.”
