RoundGlass Punjab FC make Shankar Sampingiraj their first summer signing!

I-League side RoundGlass Punjab FC have made former India international midfielder Shankar Sampingiraj their first summer signing.

26 year old Kolar (Karnataka) born Shankar Sampingiraj played locally before making it to then I-League side HAL SC. He got a chance with the Pailan Arrows before playing for DSK Shivajians FC (on loan), Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters (on loan), ATK, FC Pune City, Hyderabad FC and Chennai City FC.

Shankar Sampingiraj has played for the India Under-23s and has been called-up to the India senior squad, but has never played for the senior team.

Despite his talent, Shankar Sampingiraj has had multiple serious injuries which have halted his rise to the top and at RoundGlass Punjab FC he will look to resurrect his career once more.
