RoundGlass Punjab FC have announced the signing of midfielders Rupert Nongrum and Abhinas Ruidas ahead of the 2020/21 season.
24 year old Malki-born Rupert Nongrum joined the Shillong Lajong FC Academy in 2010 and spend five years at the Academy.
The local Meghalaya boy Rupert Nongrum made his professional debut in February 2015 in the I-League and spend the next two seasons at the club with a loan spell at Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League – Season 3.
In the 2017 ISL draft, Rupert Nongrum was picked by then champions ATK but he like the club didn’t have the best of seasons despite makign 13 appearances.
Rupert Nongrum then returned to the Northeast to sign for NorthEast United FC and he spend the last two seasons with the Highlanders before now moving back to the I-League.
25 year old Budge Budge-born Abhinas Ruidas played for Mohun Bagan and Bhowanipore FC in his youth before making his senior debut for East Bengal Club. Abinash spend the ISL-3 on loan with Atletico de Kolkata.
Under controversial circumstances Abhinas Ruidas left East Bengal for Mumbai City FC, but after only a season he returned to Kolkata to play for Mohun Bagan. Last season he spend with TRAU FC before now moving to RG Punjab FC.
