My home town club FC Remscheid have presented plans for the future of their home, the Röntgenstadion, which had earlier been planned by the city council to be torn down and replaced by an outlet centre (DOC). But with the DOC not coming, the city council are now considering new ideas for the future of the stadium complex and surrounding areas.

Auch der FC Remscheid bringt sich nun bei den Diskussionen um die Zukunft Lenneps nach dem DOC-Aus in Stellung und präsentiert eine Diskussionsgrundlage zum Erhalt des Stadions. Eine Investorengruppe trat an den Verein heran, um gemeinsam eine mögliche Zukunft für die Traditionsstätte im Herzen Lenneps zu zeichnen. Wir sprachen mit den Vereinsvorsitzenden Ralf Niemeyer und Thorsten Greuling über die ersten konkreten Ideen.
