Goan giants Salgaocar FC under new head coach Norbert Gonsalves ended their Pre-Season on a high note with another friendly win setting the bar for the upcoming Goa Police Cup and the Goa Professional League.
In their first Pre-Season friendly, the Green Brigades got the better of Calangute Association beating them 4-1 at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa.
A stunning 5 star performance followed for Norbert and the team as they overpowered Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim 5-0 which was played in Margao at the Fatorda on the outside turf.
Salgaocar FC were then put to the test against the Indian Navy side from Goa, but the lads of SFC were too quick and too strong for the Navymen to hold them as the match at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa ended 13-0.
With these massive wins in their Pre-Season matches, Salgaocar FC are ready for the new season with the first match in the Goa Police Cup against Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim on Sunday, August 7 at the Ambelim Ground and against Sporting Clube de Goa in the Charity Cup on Sunday, August 14 at the Duler Stadium with the kick-off being at 4pm.
