Samuel Lalmuanpuia joins Odisha FC from Kerala Blasters!

Indian Super League franchise Odisha FC have signed midfielder Samuel Lalmuanpuia from Kerala Blasters FC ahead of ISL – Season 7.

21-year-old Mizoram-born Samuel Lalmuanpuia played locally before moving to the Chandigarh Football Academy and then the Academy at Shillong Lajong FC, where he also made his professional debut. He spend time on loan with Minerva Punjab FC and then last season at Kerala Blasters.

Odisha FC president Rohan Sharma in an official statement said, “Samuel is a player I have had my eyes on for quite some time. We hope we can maximize his skillset so he can reach the dizzying highs he had at Shillong Lajong. He fits what we are trying to build here and can hopefully make an impact.”

The attacking midfielder made the switch to Odisha FC after featuring only five times, clocking just 59 minutes for the Kerala Blaster FC in ISL-6 with no goals to his name.

“I am quite excited to play for Odisha FC. They have a very good fan base and it will be great to play in front of a vocal crowd in Bhubaneswar. I would want to perform well and contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season,” said Samuel Lalmuanpuia.
