Promoted Indian Super League side Punjab FC have announced the arrival of Sankarlal Chakraborty as assistant coach ahead of their ISL-10 debut.
47 year old Sankarlal Chakraborty, who was born in Kolkata, played as a midfielder is a product of the Tata Football Academy and represented amongst others Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC and East Bengal Club.
Sankarlal Chakraborty worked as a coach as an assistant at the IFA Academy and Mohun Bagan before becoming the Mariners head coach. He would then go on to coach Bhowanipore FC (twice), Mohammedan Sporting and last season Sudeva Delhi FC.
Sankarlal Chakraborty had only joined FC Bengaluru United a few weeks ago but now leaves to join an ISL side.
