SC East Bengal announce signing of experienced defender Danny Fox!

Indian Super League newcomers SC East Bengal announced on Sunday the signing of experienced England-born Scottish defender Danny Fox ahead of the 2020/21 season.

34 year old Winsford-born Daniel ‘Danny’ Fox joined the Everton Academy even made it to their reserve side, but never made it into their first team squad. He spend time on loan with Gateshead FC and Scottish side Stranraer FC.

Thereafter Danny Fox played for Walsall FC (2005-2008), Coventry City (2008/09), Celtic FC (2009/10), Burnley FC (2010/11), Southampton FC (2011-2014), then a loan spell with Nottingham Forest (2014) before signing for Nottingham Forest permanently and spending a total of five years with them.

In the last one and a half years, Danny Fox spend with Wigan Athletic before now moving to India.

Danny Fox said, “I am thrilled to be part of SC East Bengal, a club rich in history. I’ve rubbed shoulders with the very best in the Premier League, and would love to share the benefit of my experience with the squad. The challenge of representing the red and gold motivates me to reach for new heights.”
