Indian Super League newcomers SC East Bengal announced on Monday the signing of DR Congo midfielder Jacques Maghoma ahead of the 2020/21 season.
32 year old Lubumbashi-born Jacques Maghoma played locally in Congo (formerly Zaire) before joining the Tottenham Hotspur Academy. He spend six seasons at Spurs but due to numerous injuries never made it to the first team.
Over the last 11 seasons, Jacques Maghoma played for three clubs in Burton Albion (2009-2013), Sheffield Wednesday (20-20), and Birmingham City (2015-2020).
Jacques Maghoma said, “I am looking forward to joining my teammates in Goa and having a successful season with SC East Bengal. I also know the fan base of SC East Bengal and I am so eager to engage with them and repay them for the faith they have in us. As always, I will do my utmost for them.”
