Jamshedpur FC Reserves played hosts to Langsning FC in their fourth match of the Second Division League 2017/18. The boys were high on confidence after a good showing a few days earlier against Chennaiyin FC but were handed a reality check by the squad from Shillong after Langsning FC cruised to a 3-1 win.
The away team took the lead very early into the match via Stephanson Pale who scored in the 3rd minute itself. The lead was doubled by an unfortunate own goal by Subham Ghosh in the 19th minute as the defence caved to constant pressure from the opposition.
Stephanson Pale was on target again in the first half to complete his brace as the match started to slip out of the hands of Hilal Parray’s boys. Firoz Khan pulled one back in the 40th minute to pull one back and take a 3-1 score into half time.
The Head Coach Parray made a few changes early during the second half to freshen things up but it was to no avail as Langsning FC held on to their two-goal lead despite constant pressure from the home team.
At full time, it ended 1-3 in favour of Langsning FC. Jamshedpur FC Reserves have four points from as many games with one win, one draw and two losses.
Next up would be a trip to the Bengaluru FC ‘B’ team on April 11.
