Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Serge Aurier has triggered an automatic one-year extension in his contract.
The full-back’s services have been secured for another season as Forest prepare for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.
Serge Aurier has established himself as a key player under Steve Cooper, making a total of 28 appearances and 22 Premier League starts since joining the club in September.
The 30-year-old missed the majority of April through injury, but recovered to wear the captain’s armband in his first game back – a vital 3-1 home win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
A powerful figure down the right-hand side, Aurier scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in January, acrobatically firing in an important equaliser.
