Seyedmahdi Mirjajili of Iran was named the Best Goalkeeper of the 2023 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup – Thailand on Sunday, March 26.
Mirjajili played a key role in Iran’s campaign, which climaxed with a 6-0 win over Japan in the final as the Central Asian side lifted the title for a record-equalling third time.
“I’m very happy to win this award,” said Mirjajili. “However, my individual efforts alone were not enough for me to be standing here. It was the collective efforts of my team.
“I’m very happy that we won the title. It is a great achievement for us.”
