Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has sent his condolences to the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and to the family and loved ones of former BFF Head of Media Ahsan Ahmed Amit, who passed away at the age of 43 on Wednesday.
Ahsan Ahmed served Asian football as a provisional AFC Match Commissioner since 2013 and was a distinguished Local Media Officer in several AFC Competitions. His passion for sport extended beyond the beautiful game, having also served in various roles and capacities with the Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation and Bangladesh Handball Federation.
The AFC President said: “On behalf of the AFC and the Asian football family, please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies on the untimely demise of Ahsan Ahmed Amit.”
“The progress of Asian football relies significantly on committed administrators working tirelessly behind the scenes to promote our great game and Ahsan Ahmed will forever take his place as one of the Continent’s most dedicated advocates of football,” added Shaikh Salman.
The thoughts and prayers of the AFC and the rest of the Asian football community are with the loved ones and friends of Ahsan Ahmed, the BFF and the Bangladesh football family during this difficult time.
