Six club legends to join Liverpool FC on Singapore pre-season tour!

Six Liverpool FC legends will be involved in the club’s activities when the Reds visit Singapore on their pre-season tour next month.

John Aldridge, John Barnes, Lucas Leiva, Gary McAllister, Ian Rush and Martin Skrtel will travel alongside Jürgen Klopp’s team, meeting supporters and participating in special events during the trip, which forms part of the Singapore Festival of Football.

On the pitch, Liverpool are set to defend the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy that they won a year ago, against Leicester City on Sunday, July 30 at the National Stadium.

They will then return to the same venue on Wednesday, August 2 and tackle Bayern Munich for the Singapore Trophy, presented by Audi and Standard Chartered Bank.

The Reds squad will prepare for the tie versus Leicester by holding an open training session on Saturday July 29, while the club will be taking an active part in several key local community projects and cultural activities while in Singapore.

A Football Interactive Fanzone will also be available for supporters, including on the day of Liverpool’s open training session, both matchdays and August 1 ahead of the clash with Bayern Munich.

Fans will have the chance to meet some of the legends travelling with the club, plus there will be performances, giveaways, Q&A sessions and much more to enjoy.

“Playing for Liverpool FC was an absolute honour and a privilege and I’m so lucky to be able to continue my connection with this great club as a legend on tour this summer in Singapore,” said Lucas.

“This will be my first tour as a legend and I’m really looking forward to meeting our super-passionate fans in Singapore and sharing a fantastic footballing experience with them.

“So come along and be part of LFC’s pre-season tour in Singapore, as we prepare for the challenges ahead with eagerly anticipated games against Leicester City and Bayern Munich.”
