Bengaluru-based South United FC have appointed Anju Turambekar as their new technical director ahead of the 2022/23 season.
South United FC recently launched their state-of-the-art facilities in Bengaluru, which includes an 11-A-Side, 6-A-Side, and 3-A-Side all weather turfs.
The senior side of South United FC has in the past played in the Second Division League while being regulars in the Bangalore Super Division, while they have Under-13, U-15, and U-18 boys teams.
Meanwhile Anju Turambekar, who was born in Kolhapur, is India’s youngest female AFC ‘A’ coaching license holder. She worked until recently for Dempo SC and has also worked for the AIFF in the past.
South United FC director Sharan Parikh said, “We are at a turning point in our ten-year journey, and Ms. Anju is one of the few people who has the expertise to understand and implement our mission for SUFC and the Indian footballing landscape. Her experience and positive approach make her the perfect fit for the culture and philosophy we are promoting here. We look forward to expanding our Grassroots and Youth Programme in Karnataka under her guidance and welcome her to the SUFC family!”

I am all set to spread my wings and fly off into new and exciting adventures with South United, and I am excited to work for it tirelessly. South United FC in recent years had focused on building their infrastructure, now their focus shifts on developing talent.
