Sudeva Delhi FC’s Prakhar Agarwal: We are excited and go all-out for a win!

With the best sixteen teams across the country brimming with confidence to give their best in the inaugural edition of the Futsal Club Championship that is scheduled to start tomorrow, November 5, Sudeva Delhi FC head coach Prakhar Agarwal feels there are no favourites and everyone will impose a different challenge to lift the coveted trophy on November 13.

“All teams are playing their first-ever tournament against each other so all teams will have a good chance to win as no one knows the other team’s gameplay. Everyone in Sudeva Delhi is excited to participate in the first-ever Futsal Club Championship and we’ll go all-out for the win,” Agarwal said.

He also added, “Classic Football Academy might be the biggest challenge in our group.”

Sudeva Delhi are in Group D alongside Real Kashmir FC, Mangala FC and Classic Football Academy.

He opined that Futsal can provide a major boost to supporters and enthusiasts across the country and it can be “another alternative to football” which is “extremely quick” compared to the longer version of the game.

“Futsal will be a major success as it will give people another alternative to football that can be played on a harder surface other than natural surface or turfs and in a very compact space,” he continued, “The game is extremely quick and fast-paced compared to football. There are a lot more transitions in the game and no time-wasting strategies can be used. Playing futsal improves players’ individual performance as well as their decision-making skills. Players get more time but at the same time, Futsal imposes a challenge to make quick decisions which is very good for the development of players.”

They will open their campaign against Mangala FC on Saturday, November 6.
