The AIFF-MFA Grassroots programme jointly organised by the Mizoram Football Association and All India Football Federation celebrated it’s seventh anniversary at the AR Lammual in Aizawl on Saturday, May 11.
250 young kids who are currently in the programme celebrated the occasion. Grassroots training was started on May 11, 2012 for children between the ages of 6-10. Each batch is conducted for a period of three months, where children are introduced to proper football training as an after-school programme.
Over 2,000 children have taken part in the grassroots programme over the course of its seven years.
