The real reason why Robert Lewandowski will go to FC Barcelona!

Poland’s Robert Lewandowski is still in negotiations with the Blaugrana, and his arrival in Spain could be made official at any moment. A large amount of money separates them, and talks between the teams continue.

The striker no longer wants to be in the German club, he said that something broke and that he can no longer offer the same as he has been giving them for several years. 375 games, 344 goals, 8 Bundesliga’s, 1 UEFA Champions League, and 1 The BEST award, is the history of the Pole in the Bavarian club. He has pushed to leave because he has one idea in mind. To prove that he is better than Benzema, and that is why he wants to go to Barcelona.

With the powerful striker, FC Barcelona puts itself in a position to be very competitive again. That is why entering Dafabet is important so that you can bet on Xavi’s or your favourite team with the highest odds and safely.

Proving his greatness

Lewandowski knows he has been at the highest level for a while. He was nominated for the Ballon d’Or and lost it to Lionel Messi. But there was controversy because, in the year of the pandemic where the award was not given, he was the best.

It was said that maybe the award that the Argentinean took away from him was for him, but in the end, FIFA compensated him with The Best award. At the age of 33, he knows that perhaps continuing to compete at the highest level will not be possible forever and that is why he wants new challenges since at Bayern there are no more objectives to achieve.

Going to Barcelona means arriving to a team in need of titles and goals, if he manages to make them there and boost the team with his offensive contributions, become the benchmark, and fill the shoes left by Messi. Then his greatness and soccer level would not be in doubt.

Benzema has been a total difference in Real Madrid for a while now, he has put Real Madrid on his shoulders and already won a Champions League by being the leader and absolute captain of the team. Obviously, this is going to be worth the Ballon d’Or to the Frenchman, who this season was unrivalled and was the best on the planet.

This is exactly what Robert Lewandowski wants. To show that he can also be the leader of a team and that he alone can take them to the top. Barcelona needs his goals and that is why when they approached him to present the project, he did not hesitate.

He has been scoring more than 30 goals for 7 consecutive seasons. That figure would put Barcelona in competition, as the scoring quota of the culé club now is low. Having Lewandowski immediately raises the level of the team.

His experience makes him one of the leaders of the dressing room, and his strong personality makes him a commanding voice on the pitch. Lewandowski comes to a team in restructuring and sees it as a blank canvas where he can paint a masterpiece.

Why has he not arrived?

When the Barcelona board, led by Joan Laporta, came to him to offer him to join the club, the Pole was still under contract with Bayern Munich. Leaving would cost the Spanish club no less than 60 million.

Let’s remember that at the moment the Blaugrana are in serious financial trouble and although the president has been able to rescue the team in a good way, the club’s new way of thinking is not to spend so much in order to fully recover the team.

Obviously, the initial offer from Barcelona was very low, and the Teutonic team rejected it. What they did not think was that Lewandowski would publicly reveal that he was demanding his exit from the club and that he no longer wanted to play in Germany.

The arrival of Sadio Mané at Bayern suggests that the German multi-champions already see the departure of the Polish striker as definitive. But so far the negotiations are still at a standstill.

The offers from Barcelona are not enough and time is getting shorter, because the pre-season is about to start, and in theory, Lewandowski has to report for training with Bayern, which he said he would not do in protest, but this would bring him heavy financial penalties because he still has a contract with the German giants.

Barcelona is still working on a formula to be able to meet the German club’s price. But it is not entirely up to them. They need to activate various partnerships and sponsorships that would bring in a large amount of money and with that they could bring in the Pole once and for all.

But this takes time. A few months ago the Catalan club’s partnership with Spotify was announced and this brought in a lot of money which brings them closer to the goal of being able to sign players.

Another important issue is the wage bill. The club is at the limit and even if they have money they can’t sign players and the high salary of the Pole puts them in a difficult situation.

Lewandowski understands this situation perfectly and decided to lower his salary because what he wants is to get to Barcelona in any way he can. The sporting issue is a priority for him, and he trusts Xavi and the team he is building.

According to media reports, Laporta assured him that he would have a competitive team next season and that he would be the focal point of the attack. A team is being built that can fight, and the striker is attracted to Xavi’s project.

The last offer from the Spanish club was 40 million and Bayern Munich is now asking for 75 million, the negotiations are a bit stalled due to Barcelona’s lack of funds. But it seems that a solution is very close.

The possible sale of Frenkie De Jong for 70 million to Manchester United, could give the Blaugranas that lack of liquidity to go all out for the Pole. Laporta is trying to activate all the options he can because he believes the striker is a key part of his project.

The coach and board know they can get a few more years of good football out of Lewandowski, and the striker wants to exploit this opportunity to extend his career at the highest level. Time is short because the player does not want to lose rhythm for the World Cup in a few months.

Both parties are pushing to close the deal as quickly as possible so that the talented striker can start pre-season with the Culé team and adapt to Xavi’s discipline and understand his teammates. Will Lewandowski arrive at Barcelona?
