Tottenham Hotspur partners Kickstart FC in India!

Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Football Development team have announced a new partnership with Kickstart FC to support the development of local players and coaches in Bengaluru, India.

The partnership was announced during a press conference held in the city today, attended by Club Ambassadors Ledley King and Ossie Ardiles, as part of their week-long visit to India, in which they have been engaging with fans and supporting a range of grassroots football initiatives.

Through the new partnership, Kickstart FC will benefit from the support of Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Football Coaching Team, who will shape the club’s training sessions and football curriculum, with technical staff stationed in Bengaluru itself to assist Kickstart FC in aligning its training methods to those of the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.

Kickstart FC is a premier football club and academy based in Karnataka, Bangalore, dedicated to the development and promotion of football talent in India. With a focus on holistic player development and a commitment to excellence, Kickstart FC aims to create a lasting impact on the Indian football landscape.

The club’s Women’s team finished Runners-Up in the recently concluded Indian Women’s League and this partnership will further contribute to Kickstart’s efforts in developing the game within the state of Karnataka.

The partnership will aim to strengthen Kickstart’s youth teams through competitive competition and talent development, with select young players provided with the opportunity to travel to the U.K to train with Tottenham Hotspur’s Academy.

Speaking at today’s launch event, Ledley King, Ambassador, Tottenham Hotspur, said, “We are honoured to partner with Kickstart FC and this collaboration is testament to the global appeal of the sport and the potential for positive change the beautiful game inspires. Shekar Rajan, Founder & Chairman at Kickstart FC, said, “We are glad to have entered into this partnership with Tottenham Hotspur, one of the biggest clubs in world football. There is no doubt that this partnership will help both clubs, as we are looking to learn a lot of best practices from them and thereby strengthen our youth development and women’s football.
