Chennaiyin FC’s Under-13 team ended the year with a comfortable 6-0 victory over Mahogany FC in the Under-13 Youth League at the SSN College Ground today. This was the first meeting between both sides this season.
High on confidence after a huge 18-0 victory over Oyyabo Sports last time out, Chennaiyin FC were ahead in no time courtesy Mohammed Liyaakath’s opening goal. Two goals in two minutes by K. Surya took the scoreline to 3-0, before Liyaakath netted a second to end the first half 4-0 in Chennaiyin FC’s favour.
Liyaakath completed his hattrick soon after the interval, making it 5-0 to Chennaiyin FC. Caron Kennedy added further gloss to the scoreline ten minutes before the final whistle, making it 6-0 to the boys in blue.
The result sees the Chennaiyin FC U-13s finish the year on a high, top of the points table with 18 points and a 100% record.
