Mohammedan Sporting Club Under-16s defeated Mohun Bagan Under-16s 1-0 to end their Kolkata Zonal Round campaign of the Under-16 Youth League with a win at the Mohammedan Sporting ground on Saturday.
Mohammedan Sporting skipper Sovan Sen scored the all important goal in the 3rd minute which ultimately proved to be the match winner.
Following this win Mohammedan Sporting finished the Kolkata Zonal Round on 18 points and now will wait for the decision of the complaint filed against United SC for fielding an ineligible player in Suraj Rajbanshi in their Round 1 match.
After the match Iqbal Ahmed, MLA and Mohammedan Sporting Club Football Secretary congratulated the Under-16 team for this victory and gave Rs. 10,000 as incentive to the boys.
