Both the teams started off with caution however Mohammedan Sporting was more organized in attack but could not able to penetrate into rival box as the SAI defenders done well to keep the strike pair of Sachin Singh and Jitender Jaiswar in check.

In the 24th minute Sachin almost put Mohammedan Sporting ahead but his effort from Rajat’s pass was denied by the rival custodian. The hosts were made to rue that missed opportunity as SAI took the lead just three minutes later through Abhisek.

Mohammedan Sporting put up an aggressive performance in the second half as they attacked the rival goal by pushing high up. The pressure paid off as the hosts equalized in the 55th minute when Rajat headed home from a Kalimuddin Sheikh’s cross.

Thereafter both teams engaged in an end to end battle but couldn’t find the winner as the game ended in a one-all draw.

Mohammedan Sporting, who now have four points from three games, will host East Bengal Club on Wednesday, December 7.
