Northernpower house Minerva Punjab FC who are currently in Shillong to play in the final round of the U-18 Youth League and in a hunt for clubs fourth domestic league title after being victorious in the senior I-League, U-15 Youth League and U-13 Youth League kick started the final round holding FC Pune City to a 1-1 draw at the match played this afternoon at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.
The match kicked off 10 minutes late than scheduled, keeping the Minerva Punjab FC players on their toes in excitement but their hopes were soon dashed as FC Pune City managed to score in the 6th minute of the game.
The Warriors of Punjab didn’t let their morale go down and soon fought back creating a couple of chances but failed to break the deadlock, however Minerva Punjab FC Youth Development product Lunthin Mang Haokip finally scored the equaliser in the 23rd minute to equalise the score which ended unchanged until the half time and then also full time whistle.
